Wrapping Paper!

I found more of my art in Target this season - in the holiday gift wrap isle. This year I found these two prints - though the pink one is a repeat from last year. I created the art several years ago under my old representatives. With them I sold all the rights to the art (hey you gotta start somewhere) so I never know where it will pop up.

Let it snow!

We've had so much snow lately here in the northeast, that I've been inspired! Here's a print of snowmen I've been working on - and I like them so much I used one of them for my holiday card this year - thats the blue one.

Lookie what I found

I was cleaning out my spare closet yesterday and came across some old old artwork from college. Good lord. So I thought I'd share with all the world. The three color illustrations are from my junior year, and are done in cut paper. They are a series of illustrations from The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. (Love that book). I used my roommate as the model for Lucy, and a friend for the white witch. The third picture is the castle of the witch. I went through a big cut-paper phase in school (Syracuse University) and I think I kinda miss it. I like cutting out tiny pieces of paper. But looking at these works - wow I am cringing a bit- I think the shapes are still beautiful, but really they are quite stiff illustrations. Hopefully I've come a long way!
